Appointments & ringing the Practice

We have moved to a telephone triage based service to reduce the face to face contact in a bid to slow the spread of coronavirus in the community.

This is a new way of working, so please do bear with us.

If you are worried about Covid-19 Symptoms please click on the following link:-https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/  for the latest advice as it is changing all the time.

We have cancelled most of our pre-booked routine appointments and are not booking follow up appointments at the present time.

We are still doing urgent bloods including Warfarin, post-natal & baby injections, pre-school injections, dressings, smears and urgent ECGs.

Should you not be well on the day of your appointment please cancel it.

All patients will be triaged at the main door to ensure you are well enough to still have your appointment.

Prescriptions

To keep patients to a minimum coming down to the Practice we are asking if you need to order /or collect prescriptions please sign up to a Pharmacy of your choice so we can send your prescription directly to that Pharmacy. The majority of Pharmacies can order your prescription. Alternatively you can order your prescription yourself by registering with the NHS App, SystmOne on-line, emailing the Practice at [email protected] and via the Practice website: https://roundwoodsurgery.nhs.uk/

This would be really helpful to you, the practice and the public.

URGENT ADVICE RE: CORONAVIRUS
If you have a fever or new continuous cough, please DO NOT attend the surgery. Phone 111 or go to 111.nhs.uk.
You must self-isolate for 7 days.

If you have a booked appointment please DO NOT attend the surgery, but ring first and we will deal with your problem over the phone if possible.

If you have downloaded your NHS APP or have Online Access for Appointments, we will be offering Appointments for Telephone Triage. DO NOT present at the Practice until a Doctor, Nurse or Receptionist has spoken to you.

When you arrive at the Practice we will also be taking your temperature and asking screening questions, before you enter the building.

This is in line with recent government guidance to keep patients and the population safe.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding
